For 2007, we have added yet another vineyard for Pinot Noir as well as an additional single vineyard Syrah. Loren Callahan of Alisos Vineyard near Los Alamos grows some of the best Syrah in the county. We were extremely lucky to receive three tons of his coveted and concentrated hillside fruit. The Pinot Noir comes from Bruce Sterten and Mark Chesebro, partners in a great vineyard in the Arroyo Secco Valley of Monterey County called Cedar Lane. Once a rootstock farm, the vineyard was grafted over to Vermentino, Chardonnay, Syrah, and, of course, Pinot Noir in the mid-late 90's. The vines are young, but the fruit is very pretty as good Pinot Noir should be.

Artistic expression is the window to a person's soul. Winemaking is art, our window, and a great reason to raise another glass. Cheers!
